I grew up in rural Nebraska. Yes, I am a farm girl!! I attended a one room country school through 4th grade. Fifth grade I was bussed the 8 miles to "town" and started attending public school. Following H.S., I attending NE Methodist School of Nursing and began my nursing career in ‘74. My husband Randy and I started dating in '71 and were married in '73. Following our college graduations, we moved to Illinois, where Randy attended graduate school at the U of IL, and I started working as a nurse in orthopedics. Following Randy's PhD completion, we moved to the Chicago area. I continued working as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. In'82 we were thrilled to welcome Nicholas to our family. He stole our heart and there's been no turning back! Nathan charmed his way into our lives in '86 and made our family complete. The boys enjoyed growing up and taking advantage of the many opportunities that Naperville had to offer. I worked part time in nursing over the "kid" years and became a full time volunteer with their schools and soccer teams. In '05 following Nate’s H.S. graduation, we moved to the Atlanta area. We have so enjoyed our life in the South with our friends.
